Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how PdfVane ("we", "us") handles information when you use https://www.pdfvane.com. We've tried to keep it short and specific, because the honest answer to most "what do you do with my data" questions here is: nothing, because it never reaches us.

Your files

Every tool on this site — the PDF editor, merge, split, compress, and file converters — runs entirely client-side in your web browser using JavaScript libraries such as pdf.js, pdf-lib, and jsPDF. When you open, edit, or convert a file here, it is read directly from your device into your browser's memory and never transmitted to our servers or any third party. We have no upload endpoint for your documents, no storage for them, and no way to access their contents.

Information we do collect

We collect a small amount of standard, non-file information to operate and improve the site:

  • Usage analytics (e.g. which pages are visited, aggregate traffic patterns) via privacy-conscious analytics tooling.
  • Technical logs from our hosting provider (IP address, browser type, timestamps) kept for security and abuse prevention.
  • Contact information you voluntarily provide if you email us for support.

Cookies and advertising

This site displays advertising through Google AdSense and may use other third-party ad networks. These providers may set cookies or use similar technologies (such as device identifiers) to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet.

You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings or aboutads.info.

Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)

If you are located in the EEA, UK, or California, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you, and to opt out of certain data processing. Because we do not collect personal data through the tools themselves, these rights primarily apply to analytics and contact data described above. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details on our Contact page.

Children's privacy

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page.
